Your Journey to Wellness

Getting started with any new routine can be challenging but following a few practical tips can help kickstart your strength training routine safely and effectively.

Phase 1: MOBILITY

If you have a joint that is not moving, then you will not get muscles to activate, you will compensate. You have to look at joint mobility above and below the pain. We often say where the site of the pain is not where the source of the pain is located.

Phase 2: STABILITY

Once we have you moving, then we address any muscles that has shortened due to the chronic pain and start working on individual muscle weaknesses due to compensating patterns.

Phase 3: FUNCTIONAL STABILITY

Correcting imbalances through movement assessments, strength, and flexibility training. Functionally getting the weak muscles to fire correctly through movement. We also talk about what your repeated movements you are doing throughout the day that are causing your pain and how to combat those movements.

Phase 4: RETURN TO PLAY
